    I have been successful elk hunting with my 300 ULW using 180 gr TSX in front of 82.5g of R22 @ 3.57 OAL.

    Thanks Mark! I'm using 180g TSX in front of 113g of Retumbo. A little hot, but the results speak for themselves :) This guy was taken at 410 yards.

    IMHO I'd go with something a little bigger than the .340, like the .378...As you said, the .300 is more than adequate for anything in North America...The .378 is a blast to shoot, and would fill out...

    I had a similar issue with the copper fouling and my 257 ULW...Currently I'm using Sierra Game Kings with awesome results.....66.4gr of I4350 behind a 100g SGK....also, the 110g Accubonds w/ I4350...
