Default Swaro ATS80 HD Playing in the Rain

Ok, It's raining, 5:30 pm, dull dim day, I'm bored. I have my new spotter sitting here, so I went out on the deck to get to know it a little. Zoomed in to 60 X on a dock across the lake. Got an idea I went in and got my cheepy walmart sony camera and my swaro range finder. Ranged the dock shed at 1037, in the rain!! Put the camera up to the spotter and took a pic. Pic is as taken, and I was free holding the camera at 60X. I think I am going to like my new Swaro stuff this year and I will know "The One" when I see him.

Broz, great pic and a great testament to Swarovski.

I really hate to ask this and you don't have to answer if it incriminates you, BUT..... is that a target on the tin shed?

Gotta love that glass Broz . Over a thousand yards in the rain is simply outstanding. I don't know that it would have done the same on a whitetail but still says alot for their instruments.

NICE!!!! I'm not surprised! Hey, one stray shot 4" off target at over 1000 yards really isn't too bad!

    Broz,

How do you like the angled eye piece? Can you compare the straight eyepiece???

I have owned a straight one for years. I chose an angled one this time because I plan on using it while sitting in the field with a short light tripod. I figure it will be nice while sitting. Also the eye piece easily rotates to the side if you are low and in line with it. Time will tell as I use it more in the field, but for now I am happy with my choice.

    Very impressive optics
A mate is trying to talk me into a Swaro Z6 scope, hard to justify the $$, but when you see the clarity of the picture you have here Broz. lt hard not to concider them.

Damn hard to justify. But I seem to make the trip through all the less expensive stuff and in the end buy Swaro. I can't go out and buy it all at once, but I have sold off a few rifles to get better pieces I will hunt with. The plan is to get down to 6 rifles and some good optics. 2 light carry rifles, 2 heavy long range rifles and two pretty guns. hopefully all with aftermarket barrels.
