Thread: Mark V accumark magazine issue

Default Mark V accumark magazine issue

My 338-378 accumark won't hold two rounds in the magazine, as soon as you snap the second in they both pop out. I tapped the lips on the magazine box lightly and now one will stay in. Where exactly on the lips is the tension keeping the brass in the magazine? I just don't want to narrow the lips in the wrong place and affect feeding

The lips should hold the two rounds in place. I would contact Weatherby and get a new one on the warranty.

Are the shims installed in the proper locations I think I had a similar problem and was able to repair by using the shims properly.

    Good luck and shoot straight

As far as I know they're in place correctly. It feels more like the lips on the mag well are spread apart too far. One round barely stays in and when you put the second one in they both just fly out

The magazine lips seems to be to wide. I have tried on a 416 to adjust them back to working order. Did not make it. I would just replace it
