Cool Elgin Gates in the Sahara

One of the Greatest Weatherby Hunters went on Safari to the arid reaches of the Sahara desert in search of some rare animals. Accompanying Elgin was Herb Klein, who brought along his golden 257 Wby, a rifle not just to be admired, but a working tool of the best quality nonetheless.

Time to sit back and enjoy a nice flute of bubbly, along with a good cigar.....

    Best, Steven

I love these old articles from the Golden years of Weatherby. It also proves that no gun or rifle is so nice that it should sit unused in a safe. What are people saving them for???? Get over it and use your "good" stuff now.....if not, someone else will at some point. Addax and Oryx with the .257 and .300 Weatherby....all accomplished with a 7x scope! White Oryx...I wonder if those are still around in numbers to hunt anymore?
